Salem, NH – United States Senate Candidate Chuck Morse released the following statement regarding Senator Maggie Hassan’s support of President Biden’s ‘house arrest for illegal immigrants’ plan:
“Maggie Hassan’s vote to fund President Biden’s ‘house arrest for illegal immigrants’ plan is dangerous and insulting to those of us begging for real border security. The President is actually proposing that we provide free housing & benefits to those who came here illegally for up to 4 years pending trial. Meanwhile, Maggie Hassan is ignoring the housing crisis that has left young families struggling to find affordable housing options.
As fentanyl and heroin have been flooding across our nation’s southern border, we have been doing everything we can here in New Hampshire to protect our children and keep our streets safe. In the State Senate I have been working with Law Enforcement leaders to fund programs like Granite Shield to go after the drug dealers and keep our communities safe. Unfortunately Joe Biden and Maggie Hassan are more concerned with pleasing the open-borders left than fighting for the security of the American people.
If Granite Staters didn’t realize how important that 51st vote in the US Senate is, this should be a real eye-opener.”
